Dr. Goodloe

John Russell Goodloe, Jr., D.M.D., graduated with honors in 1964 from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama. He served in the United States Army Dental Corps in Japan from 1964-67. Dr. Goodloe then continued his graduate work at UAB and received his certificate in orthodontics in 1970. He has practiced in Mobile, Alabama, since that time.

Dr. Goodloe teaches part-time in the Orthodontic Department at the UAB School of Dentistry where he finds working with graduate students in orthodontics to be challenging and rewarding. His preparation for lectures and seminars requires a commitment to study and continuing education that insures the highest standard of treatment for his patients.

Dr. Goodloe is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, certified initially in 1990 and recertified in 2003, and is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists.



Dr. Salter

Dr. Salter attended the University of South Alabama where she received a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1984. Then, after graduating from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1988, she received her certificate in orthodontics from Louisiana State University in 1991. Dr. Salter believes that continuing her education is vital to maintaining her commitment to the highest quality orthodontics. She is associated with the world re-known Roth/Williams Center for functional occlusion, as well as taking other continuing education courses each year. This enables her to grow professionally as well as personally.

Dr. Salter has completed the requirements to become certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontists. This is a special achievement because only approximately 25% of orthodontists achieve certification. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and other professional organizations. This assures you she has met the highest standards of education, training, and practice experience.



Dr. Pickett

Dr. Pickett attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology/chemistry in 1993. He then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 1997. Dr. Pickett received his Master of Science Degree and his certificate in orthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2000. Dr. Pickett is trained in the latest state of the art techniques available for the treatment of orthodontic malocclusions, combined orthodontic/orthognathic surgery cases, and temporomandibular disorders. Dr. Pickett enjoys treating patients of all ages and is committed to providing the highest quality orthodontic care possible for his patients.

Dr. Pickett is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and various other professional organizations. He is currently completing the requirements to become certified as Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontists.
